2006 Major Multilex DDF Product Release

2006 Major Multilex DDF Product Release
Replacement Record Functionality
  • Replacement Record – Following our restructuring work to align Multilex DDF more closely with the dm+d, this functionality provides a navigation path from an original Multilex DDF record to the new record(s).
SNOMED CT integration into Multilex DDF
  • SNOMED CT Condition Checking – Allows users to define a patient condition(s) as a SNOMED CT code and activate a Contraindication/Precaution check using this code(s).
  • SNOMED CT Sensitivity Checking – Allows users to define an allergy as a dm+d code or a SNOMED CT substance code. This can then be passed into our Sensitivity Checking module to perform the check.
  • BETA Data for SNOMED CT (Conditions and Sensitivities).
The following functionality is available in our Relational Toolkits:

NHS dm+d pick-list support
  • dm+d picklist support – Allows users to search and display a list of medicinal products using dm+d concepts.
  • dm+d navigation – On selecting a medicinal product, allows users to navigate the dm+d terminology.
  • dm+d Unit of Measure link – Allows users to retrieve Virtual Medicinal Product (VMP) / Actual Medicinal Product (AMP) identifiers and descriptor / Quantity / Unit of Measure for given Virtual Medicinal Product Pack (VMPP)/Actual Medicinal Product Pack (AMPP).
  • dm+d attributes – Allows users to retrieve a subset of dm+d attributes to support the selection of medicinal products from a picklist.
  • Multiple dm+d to single Multilex DDF links – Enables users to use existing decision support functionality when there are multiple dm+d codes mapped to a single Multilex DDF product.
NHS dm+d access to Multilex DDF clinical decision support
  • Decision support for dm+d – Allows decision support to be performed using dm+d identifiers.
In addition, FDBE provides a separate NHS dm+d data file:

NHS dm+d ASCII data file
  • dm+d ASCII data file – Allows you to receive all of the dm+d terminology.
