First DataBank, the UK’s leading provider of drug knowledge bases and active clinical decision support, has successfully attracted one of Microsoft’s key healthcare strategists, Mark Treleaven, to the role of Sales and Marketing Director.
Seen as a significant win by the company, the appointment underlines First DataBank’s strategy of continuing to grow its UK presence across all healthcare settings, whilst at the same time, achieving rapid international expansion.
Mark’s extensive experience of healthcare IT spans over twenty five years, with his most recent position as Strategic Healthcare Manager for Microsoft UK. He has held previous directorships as well as giving advice on e-commerce and networking solutions to the NHS.
David Flavell, President, First DataBank International, comments on the appointment: “Mark brings with him a wealth of experience from the healthcare IT sector. As a senior member of our management team, he will play a key role in ensuring that we continue to drive forward our customer-focussed strategies and new product development activities both in the UK as well as in international markets.”
Mark comments: “I see this as a significant opportunity. First DataBank’s success is based upon a solid value proposition backed up by a first class reputation throughout the industry. I am especially pleased to be working in a field which has such a positive impact on the care of patients across the world.”
